John Khader

 

John Khader is a longtime resident and businessman in Yonkers, New York. He is best known as the founder and president of the Mediterranean Political Action Committee (MPAC), also referred to as Mediterranean People & Communities (MPACnow).

Khader has lived in Yonkers for most of his life. In 1988, he founded Top Class Limousine  a service based in Yonkers.

He has participated in community efforts, such as chairing the Westchester County Arab American Advisory Board (active around 2021 during COVID-19 outreach) and helping return a lost veteran's cemetery plaque found near his business in 2023.

Khader and MPAC have been active in Yonkers and Westchester politics for years. The group has hosted or been linked to events involving local figures, including his brother former Yonkers City Council President Mike Khader.

There have been occasional controversies in local Yonkers discourse, such as criticism in 2022 over a social media post by Khader (under an account linked to his limo business) that some viewed as insensitive regarding gun violence, prompting calls for certain politicians to decline MPAC honors.
